Program En

Active Learning

We use hands-on, play-based and exploratory activities to strengthen their creativity and explore their interests.

STEM

We integrate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to improve our students’ problem solving skills. We give them problem-solving tasks that need  teamwork to overcome, to teach them how to evaluate situations.

Pedagogical Approach

Every child is unique. We prepare the program for each student’s needs and ages by observing them.

Languages

Our school implements a bilingual curriculum. We encourage our children to have a strong relationship with both English and Turkish

Branch Courses

Art

Art is a main part of our curriculum. Our artistic activities promote self-expression and  develop confidence, motor skills and imagination. We take children on fun trips to art museums and age-appropriate places.

Ballet

We provide a range of fun, structured activities, coordinated by our Ballet teacher. Children develop their motor skills through Ballet lessons.  Activities are split into three parts: Warm-up (e.g. role-play or dance games), Main Activity (e.g. obstacle course or gymnastic class) and Cool-down (e.g. yoga or meditation).

Creative Drama

They are encouraged to explore and share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings through creative drama activities.

Music

We listen music to develop our mood, benefit overall well-being, help regulate emotions, and create happiness and relaxation in everyday life.

Math and Literacy

We teach children to mathematical concepts at an early age and revisit them repeatedly through their levels. Children have fun with  math challenges and games designed to keep them engaged and motivated. The challenges gradually become more and more complex as the children progress. Our activities make children apply math to everyday life.

We focus on these four components to a complete literacy curriculum in preschool are print awareness, oral language development, the alphabetic principle, and phonological awareness.

Seven Areas of Learning

At Mine International Preschool we follow the British Curriculum. Our nursery is a stimulating and nurturing environment, which helps the children develop into confident and independent learners.

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Our teachers support each child’s emotional well-being, ensuring that they are confident to take part in the activities and work with others. We provide the children with experiences and support that make them develop a positive sense of themselves, as well as being respectful for others, social skills, and a positive nature to learn.

Communication and Language

We support and extend the children’s learning and competence in communicating, speaking, and listening. English as an additional language, with the support and encouragement the students receive here at Mine International Preschool.

Physical Development

We encourage the children’s physical development through a variety of opportunities to be active, to improve their coordination, and to develop both their fine and gross motor skills.

Literacy

We follow both the Phonics and the Letters and Sounds programmes, while also enjoying the learning process through a variety of games and activities. The children have access to a wide range of reading materials at school to ignite their interest in books.

Mathematics

The children are supported in developing the understanding of mathematics in a broad range of contexts through which they can explore, enjoy, learn, practice, and talk about their developing understanding of numbers, shape, space, and measure.

Understanding of the World

We support the children in developing their knowledge and understanding in order to help them make sense of our world. Our curriculum also includes a variety of activities that provide opportunities for the children to care for the natural world, for example, during Forest School and our gardening sessions.

Expressive Arts and Design

They are encouraged to explore and share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings through a variety of activities   such as art, music, movement, dance, design technology, and imaginative role-play activities.
